Champions League Reaches Semi Final Stages

Again, there are three English teams in the semifinals of the Champions League and all three have been playing the best football of their respective seasons. Under normal circumstances, the bookmakers would be an English team winning the trophy a "date on" the bet, but such is the talent of the team in Barcelona, who have difficulty taking them, then, is that the Spanish are now favorites to win the trophy most prestigious European football. Barcelona coach, Josep Guardiola, has been breaking record after record this season. It has become a goal machine, scoring five times or more in nine games and broke the scoring record in La Liga process stillseveral season games remaining. If Guardiola is the inspiration off the field, then surely the brilliant Lionel Messi, who is the inspiration in it. Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United would be officially the best player in the world, but Messi is for the unofficial version of many, and of course Ronaldo claim the crown of the year. Messi controls the pace of the team and it seems that everything he touches turns to gold, either shooting, passing, dribbling, or simply make space. There was only one team this season has found the solution to control it and if not found soon, Barcelona could also be the trophy and now none of the remaining parts of the imagination of English in front of him or his companions equipment, in particular, who face Chelsea in the semifinals of the boat. Chelsea will be the first English team to take upon them in the semi final next. They play the first leg at the Nou Camp in Barcelona and have already been installed as odds on favorites to win the first leg. Chelsea, however, according to coach Gus Hiddink is a dress rejuvenated, with a defense that is unmatched in its day. They have players like Michael Essien, who will put in the same way as the Messiah was able to affect great against Liverpool's Steven Gerard in fourth final first leg at Anfield, where they won convincingly 3-1. If Essien is no denying the threat of Messi, then Chelsea will be a great opportunity to impress the world of football, especially their key striker, Didier Drogba and midfielder Frank Lampard have become key to his best score. In another tie, Manchester United take on old rivals Arsenal in draw legs of two English all that, frankly, could go either way. U.S., except last month a few technical problems were the most consistent and effective team in the Premier League this season, while Arsenal, who are injured are now back most of their key players and a long series of 19 games without defeat. Whatever the outcome of both games, it's fair to say that the four best teams in Europe have justified their presence and they are all very capable. However, it seems that in Barcelona we can justify the faith of the bookmaker and win the trophy for the third time in its history. However, with five exciting games to go, including the final in Rome, May 27, they are sure to be very or money and excitement for the fans.

Liverpool Or Manchester United?

Liverpool or Manchester United? Forget what you know about any other rivalry in English football, this is the only one. No sectarian divide here, but the pure hatred that comes when these two are not out of place if any. These are the bastions of English football. Even if it is the oldest football league in the world, has only been in operation for one hundred twenty (109 actual seasons because of two world wars) and the two have won almost a third of them - divided into 36 equal parts. Their closest rivals Arsenal 13. I just want to compare the period of domination from Liverpool with the period of domination by Manchester United. A total of 23 different winners of the Football League / FA Premier League on 109 stations in 2008-09. Liverpool and Manchester United are tied on 18 each, Arsenal 13 Everton 9 Aston Villa 7, 6 Sunderland, Newcastle and Sheffield Wednesday 4, Wolves, Leeds, Huddersfield, Chelsea and Blackburn 3 each, then Preston North End Spurs, Derby County, Manchester City, Burnley and Portsmouth 2 each, with a win for each of the WBA, Ipswich, Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest. Taking the starting point, purely arbitrary, the 1967-68 season, the home of Manchester United 25 one-year hiatus can see that until the 1991-92 season there were a total of 8 different winners of the first division. Liverpool tops the list with 11, followed by Arsenal, Everton and Leeds with 3 and 2 Derby County and Manchester City, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest, with one each. Since the formation of the Premier League in 1992-93 and the return of Manchester United win, a total of 4 winners in a 17-year period (until 2008-09). Manchester United leads the list with 11, Arsenal 3, Blackburn Rovers 2 Chelsea and a single victory. During this period, Manchester United has not finished outside the top four and Arsenal three times only. From 2004-05, when Everton forced rivals Liverpool in fifth place, the four always been Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. But what are the reasons for this apparent bias? Money is the easy answer, but I'm not entirely convinced that this is the case. Traditionally, the Manchester Untied was the richest of all the clubs in English football. However, this does not help us before 1992-93, and 1967-68, before taking a turn with all the other teams as the winners - after winning in 1966-67, had 7 wins, as it did with Arsenal, Liverpool and Everton, Sunderland and Aston Villa, 6 each. No, I think it's much more down to good management - must be all that money into the wrong hands, Ron Atkinson, Gerard Houllier, to name but two. During the domination of Liverpool, have always had the money to splash, if necessary, but Bill Shankly, Bob Paisley, Joe Kenny Dalglish win and everyone knew what they were doing, of course, Matt Busby and Alex Ferguson does. Arsène Wenger has kept Arsenal in the hunt at the top of the Premier League has always been the development of young players. Looking back in time, Herbert Chapman, the architect of 3 consecutive wins in 1920, Huddersfield Town and Arsenal 1930 five titles, including 3 in a row, was also an excellent manager. So the answer to the original question? To be honest, the original question is probably rhetorical, because there are 90 teams in the league in England and Wales. Of course, as a football team that support has fallen a lot. People say that geography should be the paramount consideration, and I have much sympathy for that. However, young boys who do not live in Liverpool or Manchester seems to go with the flow and follow the most successful team or the team as his father. Domestically, Arsenal and Chelsea seem to be less popular than the two great - Manchester United and the national team and probably held that position since 1958, Liverpool fan base, probably grew exponentially in 1970 and '80, when they won everything ahead. So, what do you think ...?
