English Premier League - Manchester United Beat Chelsea in Weekend's Big Match
Manchester United and Alex Ferguson has sent a message to the rest of the Premier League yesterday and, I suspect, in particular, Reds coach Rafa Benitez. Man Utd beat Chelsea 3-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday with ease in the big game at the weekend English Premier League. Ferguson, if not already, now believes that his team, Liverpool can take and retain the title by beating the other teams in the top of the table. This was Man Utd and Ferguson, before conquering another potential title contender this season. Ferguson had earlier this week, somehow, problems Benitez, Liverpool manager. Both the fact that the Spanish launched into a tirade against Ferguson's pre-meditated in his press conference on Friday for his alleged influence with officials. In response to the attack, the Liverpool manager Ferguson said after the game yesterday, "I think we should cut the poison and is expected to consider and understand that what he says is absolutely ridiculous. It is an angry man and I think was annoying for some reason or other - that is all I have to say about it. "Ferguson is undoubtedly the master of mind games and that certainly seems to have won more than one of Benitez. The Premier League game between the two famous rivals at Old Trafford in March, will be interesting to see how the two react with each other, not to mention the fact that the outcome of the game could move to decide the final destination of the championship. Anyway, so far this season Wigan have already drawn 1-1 with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in September, drew 0-0 with Villa in November, and lost by both Arsenal and Liverpool. However, Aston Villa, Liverpool and Arsenal have still to visit Old Trafford and it seems Man Utd are starting to push their time to the top with perfection again. "He was a central defender Vidic for Man Utd who led the season opener just before half time after strikers Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov scored one of each unit. The victory now means that Wigan are just one point behind Chelsea. United now have 41 points, still five behind Liverpool, but the reigning champions have two games ahead of their rivals. Together we can then go into first place, must beat Wigan and Bolton this week. However, back in Old Trafford was a bad day at the office for Chelsea and his boss Phil Scolari, who said earlier this game is absolutely crucial to his chances of regaining the championship team that won last year 2006. Perhaps too much pressure on their players, like Chelsea could not get a shot on target, even play with three strikers for the last 10 minutes. Scolari has seen his fall in the future increased speculation in the British press in recent weeks with some poor results . His team has encountered in the context of alleged unrest in the dressing room as well as financial restrictions in the transfer market during the January transfer because of the financial crisis. Scolari said: "Now is the time for me and my players to think about our future: men who have lost everything or they are and can we improve? E 'only in that way or form is the second death. "We know that, know all the fans and media know if we play as the second half we won' t come." Her English is not very good, but you can understand what he means. Chelsea have won just one of their last five Premier League, which is not championship form. Next match in Chelsea just three days on a visit to Southend FA Cup 3rd round of the response. If Chelsea loses the match, the alarm will undoubtedly be called in southwest London! There was also a very interested spectator at Old Trafford yesterday. José Mourinho, former Chelsea manager, now Inter Milan coach was sitting in the gallery. Inter, of course, need to play for Man Utd next month, the top 16 this season's UEFA Champions League. He should be happy that was still in charge of Chelsea but Man Utd's performance certainly have something to think about before his return against Inter.
